FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Comfortable attire and walking shoes are recommended

  • There is metered parking available throughout the Presidio

Can I still buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.jlsf.org/purchase-2020-touch-a-truck-tickets/ through April 15th. You can also purchase Touch-A-Truck® tickets on the day of the event at the check-in table located at the Presidio Civil War Lawn next to (east of) the Main Post between Graham Street and Keyes Avenue.  

Will I receive my ticket in the mail?

No, you will not receive your ticket in the mail.  All guests should check in at the Presidio Civil War Lawn at the will-call desk to obtain event entry, a wrist-band, and the Day of Event Map.

How Much are Tickets?

  • Children, 2 years and older: $10 online, early-bird, limited quantities available

  • Adults: $16 online, early-bird, limited quantities available 

  • Children, 2 years and older: $12 online 

  • Adults: $18 online

  • Angel tickets for families available too! 

Where do I check in for VIP on the day of the event?

Check in for all guests, including VIP ticket holders and Patrons, will be located at the Civil War Lawn closest to Graham Street. There will be a separate marked table for Patrons and VIPs.

 

If I gave my tickets to someone else, how do they check in?

If tickets were gifted to you by one of our Patrons or Sponsors, please check in at the VIP desk and provide their name and your name. If tickets were gifted to you by anyone else, please check in at the General Admission desk and provide their name.

 

What time does the event start and end?

All general admission ticket holders have access beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Saturday, April 18, until the event ends at 3:00 p.m. VIP Patrons have exclusive and uninterrupted access before the event at 10:00 a.m. as well as a separate check-in area for a shortened check-in throughout the entire day. 

Are there Food and Beverages?

There will be food vendors onsite providing snacks, lunch, and a variety of beverages, including a biergarten. Additionally, there will be a BYO refillable water station available. 

 

What can and can’t I bring with me to the event?

You can bring:

  • Stroller if it is for an infant or toddler

  • Food and non-alcoholic drinks

  • Service animal

  • Pet dog if you have it on a leash, and it is well-behaved around other dogs and children. Please be advised, children will be honking air-compressed horns and it could be quite loud at times.

  • Picnic blanket or a towel to sit on but please leave the tents, umbrellas and parasols at home.

You cannot bring:​

  • Cigarettes or e-cigs are not allowed within the perimeter of the event. This is a smoke-free event.

  • Wagons, bicycles, and scooters are not allowed within the perimeter of the event.

 

Where should I park for the event?

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS/HANDICAP ACCESS:  
There is a parking lot next to the Main Post, address is 103 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94129. You can access the parking lot, which is at Anza Ave., from Sheridan Ave., Arguello Blvd., or Lincoln Blvd. There is also plenty of (paid) street parking along all the surrounding streets. Once parked at the lot at Anza Ave., please use Owens St. to cross between Anza Ave. and Graham St.  Our event is taking place at 38 Graham St, on the The Civil War Lawn (please see attached image for exact location). Once at the corner of Owens St. and Graham St., cross Graham St.  The entrance to Touch A Truck® with be clearly visible, you won't miss it! 

 

Will there be valet parking at the event?

Valet service will not be provided at the Touch-A-Truck®. BUT! We'll have a stroller valet!  

Will there be a fire truck at the event?

Thank you to SFFD for attending our event last year! As they are first responders and emergencies happen, we have made the request as we have in the past, and are very optimistic for a repeat attendance this year!  

 

When will I receive a map of the event?

You will receive a detailed map of the truck and activities on the day of the event at check-in. 

 

What other activities are there?

There will be balloon animals, face painting, a petting zoo and carnival games.
